In the article, “The secret life of Tiger Woods” is about how Tiger Woods made many sacrifices during his childhood to become an elite athlete, and that Woods is having a childhood when he is an adult. This quote shows you this when the article states,” He loves the name Logan Howlett,which is Wolverine’s human name in’ X-Men’. When he booked his free diving lessons in Grand Cayman,instructor Kirk Krack recalled,he reserved his spot under the name Eric Cartman”(Thompson 5). This quote explains that Woods began naming himself Marvel, and cartoon characters because he was beginning to realize what he missed when he was busy golfing when he was at a young age. Woods was a very young person when he was beginning his childhood, so that made a sacrifice that people think that is necessary, but in the article “Are parents ruining youth sports? Fewer kids play amid pressure” the parents are ruining sports because they are taking socializing and having fun away to take sports a more serious approach than the olden days.
