With a thirteen percent rise in recent sexual assault allegations, The Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton (SACE) is encouraging sexual assault survivors, to step forward and start their healing process.

This year, SACE has had an overwhelming amount of new clients coming forward, but the majority of their clients have had to wait up to six months just to speak to a counsellor.

Social media has become a big support system, for the survivors that aren't ready to tell their families, but still feel comfortable confiding in a safe place with people that have the same traumatic experiences.
