The Salem Witch Trials which took place in the 1690’s, have some differences between the 1930-1940’s Holocaust. However, the similarities are appalling. The main concept between the two is that their victims generally had no say in their outcome. Salem victims died when they admitted they were witches, and were tortured if they denied it. Jewish people in the Holocaust died with no justification or reason besides mass extinction and the capacity of camps. The Jews were used as a scapegoat by Hitler, he managed to convince the German people that Jewish people were the reason why they were in debt and the cause of the country's insufficiency.
