Best legal argument in support of same sex marriage
THESIS
Same sex marriage happens all the time. Marriage is a bond between two people. We might as well take our head out of the sand and recognize it, it already exists.
BEGINNING
Marriage is the process by which two people who love each other make their relationship public, official, and permanent. Same sex marriage has been an argument through-out our society for the past few years. Whether or not people that like the same sex should be allowed to marry one another. Same sex couples should be allowed the same marriage rights as heterosexual couples. We are all human being and should all have equal rights. It shouldn’t matter who you love, because either married couples could make wonderful homes to children.
LEGAL POINT
We the people of the United States are guaranteed by our Constitution, the inalienable right to life and the pursuit of liberty. Among these rights are the right of privacy, the right of intimate choice and the right to love who we choose to. Our right to Equality, free from discrimination is a fundamental right protected by our constitution as is our right to Marry. For this reason “marriage equality” must also be given to “same sex” marriages and the individuals seeking their own right for liberty, and right to marry under equal protection. (Source 5)

ETHICAL POINT
Individuals should have the right to choose who they love. Just as our society has religious tolerance so should our tolerance extend to sexual orientation? Live and let live. Separation of church and state.
We need to evolve as a people,
There was a time when slavery was legal, women could not vote, and you when could not marry who you loved.
Same sex marriage can bring financial gain to the state and local government. Compeller for New York City found that legalizing same-sex marriage would bring in $142 million to the city economy and $184 million to the state in economy in the past 3 years.( SOURCE 6)

SOCIOLOGICAL POINT (how it affects our society as a whole)
Same sex marriages play a positive role in our society and communities. Many children are looking for supportive and stable homes to live in there are approximately 400,000 children in the U.S living in foster care since 2011.
A) Detail
Gay marriage would help a lot of children to find homes, a lot of them could adopt children since they cannot produce one, gay marriage can provide stable homes for children just as well as heterosexual couples. (Source 1) It’s devastating seeing young children in foster care. About 40-50% of the children in foster care don’t end up graduating high school and 60% of the females either become pregnant or have major depression.(Source 7)
Gay parents tend to be more motivated and dedicated toward the child then a heterosexual couple, because most gay couples choose to be parents and don’t have kids on accident. About 50% of pregnancy’s are by accident. Researchers studied that gay parents have a better improvement in the child’s mental health and physical health, as well as social functioning. (Source 8)
B) Detail
With the couples that were gay since 2011 studies say that approx. 14,000 kids were adopted to gay families. Out of 300 foster care homes and orphanages there were 10% kids that were older than 6 that received homes, 25% 1-3 years old adopted and 6% of kids that were across races adopted and lastly more than half kid with special need were adopted by gay couples.(Source 8)
With these studies you can see that gay marriage is helping a lot out with providing homes for children. There are about 1 out of every 6 couples that are diagnosed with infertility every year and only about 2 or 3 out of 6 heterosexual couples adopt children. (Source 8)
Gay couples may cause the child to be embarrassed at school because of our society and the ignorant people we may have in this
