I have always thought that people should be able to love whom they want to. If that just happens to be someone of the same sex then that is what it has to be. All I ask is that you don’t shove it down my throat, no matter what your sexual preference is. Who am I to tell you what is right or wrong about love? If you would have asked the common American what they thought about signal parent or step families 60 years ago the response probably wouldn’t have been positive. If you evaluate the family dynamic now step and signal parents have become the norm. Does this mean in 20 years same sex parents will be socially acceptable? I hope so. People are often afraid of what they do not know and that can come out as hatred. I think if people were exposed and educated more they might have better feelings towards same sex unions.
I did a quick internet search to see what other people thought about same sex unions being unconstitutional. I stumbled across one site that said it was unconstitutional for women to have children in a same sex union because there wouldn’t be a man to help pay for the child and the government will have to step in and help. I quickly thought that there are woman all over the country where the government is helping because the man left or was never around to begin with. If a child is brought into a same sex union that means specially planning had to take place and the couple has most likely thought about how they will afford the child.
