In 1990, Hagar decided to open his own cantina, by the name of Cabo Wabo, featuring his famous brand of tequila, Cabo Wabo, in San Lucas, Mexico. Hagar later on led to open multiple locations of this chain in the following locations: Hollywood, California, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lake Tahoe, Nevada. In 2007, Hagar sold 80% of Cabo Wabo to Gruppo Campari $80 million (Hagar 153-162). In 2004, Eddie Van Halen contacted Hagar for a Van Halen Reunion Tour. The tour went just as the band did years ago - lots of fighting between Van Halen and everyone else. There was backstabbing and other betrayal acts, as Hagar has stated in the past. Van Halen had wanted to replace the bass player, Michael Anthony, with Wolfgang Van Halen. This later did not happen, but did raise tension. Hagar and Van Halen traveled in separate jets, different hotel rooms, etc. They avoided each other, besides when they had to play together on stage (Hagar
