Did you know that earthquakes are the reasoning behind the continents moving? Back when the continents where one-Pangea there where platypus and many other animals were scattered during the split. When an earthquake happens-It creates jagged lines in the earth’s crust. Earthquakes are harmful to earth, dangerous to humans, and damaging to property. To begin with, Earthquakes can harm and damage people, places, property, and earth. Back in 1989 the San Francisco earthquake caused 60 people dead and over four thousand people injured. This earthquake cost the state 6 billion dollars to repair the damages in the San Francisco Giants stadium. Next this tragic earthquake also caused the bay bridge to get partially destroyed. This also caused a disruption when the World Series was going on. Also this earthquake disrupted telephone calls-so families could not tell if there family members where alive or dead.
