In Sandels “Market and Morals”, he suggests that there are problems with a way a capitalist market shapes our moral values. He was absolutely correct when he made this suggestion. I think the main problem with a capitalist market is that you can sell or buy almost anything, anyway. While I was reading through some of these examples I was shocked at what i saw. I was extremely surprised at how you could shoot an endangered black rhino for 150,000 dollars. I don't think this is morally and ethically acceptable, we should be protecting these endangered animals not killing them. There are many different odd jobs that you can do to make a little more cash. You could rent out your forehead for a tattoo for an advertisement for a New Zealand Airline. You could work for a private military company in somalia for a small paycheck or if you're a second grader in Dallas all you have to do is read a book, and you just made 2 dollars.
In the world that we live in today money is everything. There is honestly very few things that you can't do or get without money. Everything that we own unless it was given to us we had to buy, and these things that we buy are not cheap. It is surprising that we have enough money for leisure and entertainment with all of the utilities, groceries, gas, and home items that we have to
