Sanger Rainsford: Ship-Trap Island

On July 29, 1921, Sanger Rainsford, an acclaimed author and hunter, was found on a deserted island, weeks after his disappearance. Rainsford, originally from New York City, is under clinical care as doctors believe he is mentally unstable. In a public interview given yesterday, Rainsford recalls the horrors he faced on Ship-Trap Island, before being rescued by a nearby cargo ship. Rainsford was travelling with his hunting partner, Whitney, to Rio de Janeiro, to hunt the tigers of the region. Rainsford claims that whilst he was on the deck of his ship, he heard gunshots and “In the blur of the moment, I found myself fallen overboard the yacht,” he describes. I waited for hours on end, until the general came to sleep. I scared him. He had congratulated me on winning the game and
