A historical figure that is well deserving of the “Hamilton” treatment is Satchel Paige. Satchel Paige was the best pitcher in the Negro League throughout the league's existence. He dominated hitters from the mound and retired as the league’s all time leader in wins. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971 even though he was not allowed to enter Major League Baseball (MLB) until he was older. Despite spending most of his career in the Negro League, Satchel Paige was one of the most influential sports athletes in all of Black America in the 1930s.
