AOTW: Texting while Driving You know those commercials on TV? The ones where the girl is driving and takes a second to flash a look at her phone. In a blink of an eye, she’s gone. Just from one message. Every time I see one of those ads, I am overcome with fear: fear for myself and fear for people I love. As soon as you pick up that phone while driving, you are placing all of the lives around you in danger. All it takes is waiting. The mother of a texting while driving victim writes, “In a split second you could ruin your future, injure or kill others, and tear a hole in the heart of everyone who loves you.” When you are drinking and driving, most of the time, you don’t know you're doing it or you're not in your right mind. I believe that this article is a step in the right direction because of the way it appeals to the reader's emotions.
