It is a melancholy object to those, who drive or walk through the streets and come across those who are homeless and travel great distances from one shelter to another. More than 700,000 people in the U.S live without a proper shelter and struggle to get a good meal each day. They’re known as “beggars”, “hobos”, “vagrants”, “tramps”; the list goes on. We can’t help but think that they have become such vulnerable beings, who no longer have any control or power over their life. They’re not viewed as humans who deserve be treated equally or have the same freedom as others. We must not forget that they too have their own story to share and their own devastating difficulties they have experienced throughout their life. In most cases, they end up stuck in a web of drugs, alcohol, and violence. They must learn to become dependent of themselves and learn the skills of a responsible and self-controlled being.
I believe it’s agreed among many of us that the number of homeless people will continue to increase and skyrocket if we don't provide a solution to the problem. It will affect their lives negatively, damage our economic growth, and will continue promoting hateful comments and beliefs towards them. Whoever were to come up with a grand idea to work out this misfortune that is present in today’s society, shall be recognized with a statue for protecting the homeless lives.
However, my deliberateness does not only include preserving the lives of the misfortuned. It will put these people to good use to conserve the environment and create a healthy home for everyone. We are aware that those who are homeless spend a good amount of their time surrounded by nature, one way or another. Therefore, we would have to take advantage of it and finally benefit from its new
