Celebrity is not something just for the 21st century. Sometime in the 17th century, the word celebrity, derived from latin, came around, meaning “famous”, or “well known”. Celebrities play a major role in our society and have a huge impact on the charities within it. Saul Hudson, more widely known as Slash, is a good example of a celebrity that plays a role in charity.

Slash’s mom, Ola, is African American. Slash’s Dad, Anthony, is white. Since Anthony was a painter, he naturally moved to Paris. Ola left Los Angeles to see the world. They met in Paris, and then they got married in England, where Saul was born. Saul grew up in Stoke-on-trent, where he lived with his grandfather, Charles.
