People do not always know everybody's limitations of what a person can do or cannot do. Everyday people around the world try to help people the best way they can. However unknowingly people could push someone beyond their limits. In the story "The Scarlet Ibis," a short story by James Hurst the narrator has a little brother and pushes him beyond his limitations to become a average boy. In the story "Brother" has a special needs little brother named Doodle. So "Brother" tries to help Doodle try to get through difficult task so he can be an average boy. The narrator "Brother" causes Doodles death because he is pushing him to hard, he is overheating Doodle, and he is leaving Doodle behind. The narrator "Brother" causes Doodles death by pushing him to hard on doing difficult task. "Brother" would purposely walk fast until Doodles face turned red and his eyes were glazed and he would collapse" (422). "Brother" walked fast on purpose so he would be prepared for school to catch up with the other kids. "Brother" made Doodle double his efforts and made him climb vines, swim and roll oars until he turned blue" (422). "Brother" is pushing Doodle over his limits and it wasn't good for his health. "Brother" caused Doodle to get overheated by double their task. "Brother" said the sun, gilded them with the low cast of autumn, fiercely burning them" (424). It was hot with "Brother" making Doodle do all of the exercises that it is overheating Doodle. "Brother" says during Dog Days Doodle began to look feverish and felt ill" (422). During hot days Doodle began to feel ill from being overheated due to doubling their efforts of achieving goals.
