List two items of information your reading provided which you were not previously aware. (Be sure and elaborate.) How does this impact your theology?
1. Scazzero brought up the point that God speaks to each of us in different ways, he is not limited by what we think the voice of God should sound like. One example that he gave, which I had not been aware of, was that God sometimes speaks to us through the physical signals that we get from our bodies. This makes sense that the God who made our bodies would use them in order to communicate with us about how we are feeling or how we should feel about something. To me, this is another expression of God's love and caring toward us.

2. Scazzero dedicated almost an entire chapter to the Daily Office, and I had never heard of this practice before reading this book.

Often, in ways that we may not even notice. I had seen some of this in my own life, but I could not quite understand it until reading Scazzero's explanation. I can see this concept play out in myself, as well as in my parents from my grandparents. Some of what I see is good, but some of it is bad habits that were passed on. I see that it will take me relying on God to break these habits.

Copy one quotation from the chapter that seemed particularly important to you and interact in your own words with the portion you quoted.
"Every mistake, sin, and detour we take in the journey of life is taken by God and becomes his gift for a future of blessing" (page #112).

I love this quote because it brings such light to the darkness in all of our lives. It confirms that we do have a hope, and that we are not lost causes because of our past or current circumstances. God gives us endless chances to come back to him and be restored. Although, it is only when we truly commit ourselves to God in faith and discipline that we begin to see those blessings
