When I first joined The Force, I was excited. I had never been a part of such a big band with as much pride as it has. Since my first year marching with The Force, I have grown a morale with this group of students. I have found myself a new family amongst these students.
With artistry, comes passion and with passion, comes beauty. I have always had a passion in my heart for the arts, especially for music. I've always been interested in the performing arts more than anything. Being a part of band has given me that outer look from both the artist and the performer. It has given me a new outlook on life, a career, and band has given me some of my best friends.

Leadership never takes a break, so I would like to do all I can to unlock hidden potential within the band. As everybody saw last summer with the percussion, they won best improved section and it took great leadership to make those potentials, deep within them, recognized. My Future goals, whether I'm elected drum major or if I'm elected section leader, is to show everybody what The Force truly is. The Force is a group that is disciplined, takes passion, loves what they do, they're a family, they're helpers, and they love what they do as a member of our outstanding band.
Time and time again I have been told to lead myself when I've wanted to advance to a higher rank, either at work, an activity, or at church, and I contemplated why these people would say this? It is because without knowing yourself, how can you know others? Without knowing others, how can you lead others? You must have the ability to know the needs of every individual, and at the same time, know what a group needs as a whole. If you're asked to lead yourself, you must treat yourself like the people you're leading, with integrity and respect, because in reality, we are all the same type of
