Is it better to let the future of the world fail than help them succeed? Because of poverty and dangerous environment, children are destined to end up in prison than to finish school. People have yet to realize that the government profit from this issue, so why help? The government have come up with a plan that will fast forward students to go to prisons because they believe they will end up there anyway. Children are losing a battle before they realize what is going on. Our government has lost hope in majority of today’s children because it seems that they rather prepare a bed in prison than find a way to keep them in school. At a young age children have already been sealed with the density of ending up in prison.

According to Porter, in today’s zero-tolerance plans, the government still emphasize education over incarceration, most likely because the real money advantage connected to aiding a prison system exceed the untouchable advantage linked with education. People like making money but sending people away for misbehaving in school or for where they lived to make money is greed. Thousands of juvenile criminal were sent to private prisons by two know judges who received $2.6 million in payments. Even judges are getting pay to send children to prison so the government can make a profit of them. According to Gopnik, “Mass incarceration on a scale almost unexampled in human history is a fundamental fact of our country today – perhaps the fundament facts, as slavery was the fundamental facts of 1850”.
