One of the options which they have is contraception and there are many different forms of contraception’s available in this day and age, which include the pill, the male condom, female sterilisation, the contraceptive injection, the implant, the female condom , the vaginal ring this is just a small list of what contraception’s that are available.
The contraception which I have decided to base my case study on is the implant, the implant is a device which is injected into the arm of the patient and basically the way it works is it stops the ovaries from releasing an egg each month It also Thickens the mucus in the cervix, making it difficult for sperm to reach an egg, and Makes the lining of the womb thinner so it's less likely to accept a fertilised egg.
The Contraceptive implants have side effects but nothing which is life threatening but some of the side effects may cause extreme discomfort and below is a list of some of the side effects which a woman may experience whilst using the implant. : * headache * spots * weight gain * increased appetite * breast tenderness * dizziness * depression * Irregular periods. * mood changes * nervousness * changes in level of sexual desire * Extreme Weight Gain
