Scorpia In Anthony Horowitz's Ark Angel

Through out this past week, I have finished the rest of Scorpia by Anthony Horowitz. I have read the first 10 pages of Anthony Horowitz’s Ark Angel. Alex who is the main character in both books is a very risky kid. He is very adventurous and that is why I like these books so much. In the next few paragraphs I will be visualizing and clarifying in Anthony Horowitz’s Scorpia and questioning in Anthony Horowitz’s Ark Angel. I was visualizing the fight scene inside a hot air balloon. This upcoming passage from the reading really emphasizes my visualization. “Alex was walking through the courtyard when Julia Rothman came up from behind him. “Alex how about you come up in the hot air balloon with me,” she said. Alex said yes and when he was getting in the basket Nile came aboard and grabbed him” (Horowitz 231). I visualized what happened after this part in the book. Alex is fighting Nile who is Scorpia’s best agent. I imagine that it is a bright blue sky, about 65 degrees and there is a blood red hot air balloon floating through the sky. First, I am questioning why Alex was in the same room as the son of a Prime Minister. Alex and many famous people were in the same wing. Second, I am wondering why four armed men came into the room and tried to kidnap Paul Drevin, who is the son of the Prime Minister. Alex was appalled when he saw the guns. This statement from the book kind of helps me answer why the men came in. “Alex peeked out the door and saw Scorpia’s logo on the arm sleeve of one of the men. He remembered that Scorpia was talking about trying to get something from the Prime Minister of England. “I have to help him, I need to change room numbers,” he said under his breath” (Horowitz 4).
