Funny how a simple slogan can bring about controversy between companies. Having not read Seaver’s letter yet, one would sympathize with Herbert at first, who believes that the Grove Press’ use of the slogan, “It’s the real thing,” would only stir confusion amongst the public. The purpose behind Herbert’s letter is to get Seaver and the Grove Press to put an end to their use of the slogan. However after reading Seaver’s letter, Herbert’s complaint is just absurd.
