This letter is in response to your enquiry about the security and confidentiality in my organisation. The legal requirements for security and confidentiality is a process that understands the rights of an employee, it also allows you to seek guidance from serviceable information based on your employment rights and responsibilities. Maintaining security in a business environment is one of the most important procedures this is due to keeping data safe which means we can store it manually or electronically and it isn’t to be kept longer than necessary, secondly data shouldn’t be transferred outside the UK without suitable protection; without suitable protection identity frauds can occur. However maintaining confidentiality in a business environment is also highly important due to employee’s sexual preferences and criminal records as it is sensitive data.
