Have you ever wondered why someone you gave all of your trust, can easily stab you in the back? Comparatively, Selena Perez’s death was unjustified because there was a mass of backstabbing and envy. Even though her, death is still a mystery on why Yolanda Saldivar (her best friend) killed her. The 23 year- old, Selena died the evening of March 31, 1995 in Corpus Christi, Texas from a single gunshot wound. The latina figure of Madonna was on the edge of blowing up her career as a singer and a fashion designer with her boutique.
A week before the clueless singer knew that her life was about the very soon. Selena’s father, Abraham Quintanilla brought to everyone’s attention including Selena, her mother, her husband, and siblings that Yolanda was stealing money from her fan club and boutiques. In this case, however this isn’t the case. Selena was trusting and caring to Yolanda, Saldivar shouldn’t have to be quick and grab the gun to either shoot Selena or either harm herself. The problem could have been solved a different way than it did. Yolanda could have admitted that she stole money from selena and gave her a reason why she did than lie about it. According to Yolanda, Selena never said the she was going to fire her and that she told Selena to leave, but we all know that isn’t true.
In conclusion to Selena’s assassination, it was unjustified. The 62,000 fan base singer didn’t have to die like this as young as she was. All because of jealousy and betrayal. Til this day Yolanda still goes by her unbelievable story on what happened in room 158 on that afternoon. The story of Selena’s death should help others be cautious on who their real friends
