Self-Reflection With today’s emphasis on safety and quality, nurses have to make important clinical decisions based on reliable research. In actual practice, the barriers to adopting evidence-based practice mentioned by Melnyk and Fineout-Overholt (2015) are particularly descriptive of overburdened clinicians. Despite the sensible fact of relying on EBP for clinical decision making, barriers, that include the resistance of management all the way to the skeptical attitude of common employees, must be confronted to change the way of practice in an organization.
