Another trait is selflessness which Odysseus as well as other people knows that selfishness will do you more harm than being selfless and think about others. But Odysseus did not show selflessness when he decided it was better to keep the info to himself and not to tell his crew. One of these times was when he decided to tell “them nothing, as they could do nothing. They would have dropped their oars again, in panic, to roll for cover under the decking” (936).
