In the mid-19th century, the United States went through a period of time called the Spiritualist’s Era. Many people that study ESP believe that spiritualism started because of two sisters- Kate and Margaret Fox who claimed to hear sounds and communicate with a man named Charles B. Rosma. The sisters told people that he was murdered in their house and buried underneath it. By the year 1849, these sisters were the most famous mediums in the whole world. Many people believed them, but only for a while. They eventually started abusing alcohol and many people forgot about them.
