I read the Sexting, Shame and Suicide article by the Rolling Stones. The articled talked about how many teenage girls get shamed on social media because they take pictures of them having sex or being naked while being drunk. It also focuses how many of the guys who do this to the girls don’t get punished enough. The article talked about one special case that occurred to a sophomore girl. The girls name was Audrie Pott, she committed suicide because three boys took pictures of her body when she passed out. The guys showed the pictures to everyone. Audrie had gone to a party lying to her mom that she was going to sleep at one of her friends house. That night of the party she drank to much. The three guys who were suppose to be her friends took her to the room to let her rest but they undressed her …show more content…
When I read this part of the article I felt disgusted how the guys treated her. They were suppose to be her friends but they were intoxicated so they didn’t really think about their actioins. They had no right to do that because she wasn’t conscious of what was happening with her. Not only did the guys drew on her body but also touched her. The next day Audrie woke up feeling confused and scared because she woke up naked and with drawings around her body. I can imagine how terrified she must have felt because she didn’t remember any of what had happen to her that night. She had texted some of her friends and asked them what happened that night. Her friends told her that the photos were out and everyone knew everything already. For this reason, Audrie committed suicide because she couldn’t take the thought of other people thinking bad of her and she
