All around the globe sexual assault happens every day and to a vast majority of people. According to Teen Vogue and Rainn.org, 1 in 6 women and 1 in 33 men are survivors of rape or attempted rape and every 8 minutes a child is taken from a home due to evidence of sexual assault. We as a society should not tolerate these actions even if they used to be socially acceptable, not shame people who come forward, and give harder consequences to the perpetrators who’ve committed this crime.

Back then it used to be acceptable to see women as objects more than actual people but although we as a society no longer see sexual assault as acceptable we still make excuses for these perpetrators, but why? Hence all the sexual allegations going around right
