Have you ever had something you have loved and then it dies or you lose it? This is an essay on walk two moons, by Sharon Creech. Sal loved her mother until she went to Lewiston, Ohio and got into a bus crash and died. People can still live on and teach us through our memory. Even though Sal’s mother is gone, she continues to affect Sal’s life through the lessons she taught her and the impact she had while still living.

The Lunatic quotes have an important affect to the story because it affected Sal and Phoebe. This is one of the lunatic quotes. Bybanks was Salamanca’s favorite place. She loves it so much because everything there reminds her of her mother. Salamanca was forced to move from her farm to go to Mrs. Cadaver’s house in Euclid, Ohio. Sal didn’t actually live in Mrs. Cadaver’s house but Sal and her father lived nearby. It turned out that she had a stroke. Gramps and Sal stayed in a motel. Gramps gave Sal the keys to his car and a few dollars and asked her if she needed anything she could go and get it. She ended up driving the car 100 miles all the way to Lewiston by herself. She stop at the Crash site. The site where a bus crashed. The bus had Sal’s mom in it and she was sitting next to Mrs. Cadaver. The bus crashed and the only survivor was Mrs. Cadaver. Mrs. Cadaver was holding Sal’s mom’s hand during her final breath. That is why Sal’s dad likes Mrs. Cadaver so much. She is his only living memory of his
