Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is the long awaited sequel to the first Sherlock Holmes film. With Dr. John Watson about to marry and leave the life of crime-solving behind, a lonely Sherlock Holmes occupies his time investigating a series of terrorist attacks in London. His investigations conclude that Professor Moriarty is the mastermind behind the attacks. Holmes manages to get the doctor involved in helping solve this last case. Soon Holmes and Dr. Watson discover that Moriarty’s main plan is to start a World War so that his commodities will be on demand. Upon making this discovery, Holmes declares Moriarty his archenemy.

Nevertheless there is a common characteristic across different versions of Sherlock Holmes; he is defined as a smart, attractive, and cunning. Robert Downey Jr. and Benedict Cumberbatch are among them, the first on movie screens and the latter in a TV series. Robert Downey Jr. is the brilliant actor who has brought in a lot of his character: the characteristic facial expressions and gestures, charisma and "increased activity". All this only adds to, but does not spoil Holmes. Of course, Hollywood strongly influenced the picture, an abundance of special effects and slow-motion scenes rolls for a film about the detective-intellectual, but they are likely to bring more action without affecting the atmosphere. This Sherlock is more like a soldier or a tramp, but at the same time it is the best detective in England, to count all the actions a few steps forward. Benedict Cumberbatch, on the other hand, is cold and full of sarcasm. Brash and arrogant genius who can easily tell where you were the night you ate for breakfast, where are going and with whom you have a meeting. His cold mind that does not recognize any manifestation of emotion, but a strong devotion and love for the cause and his friend immediately conquer the sympathy of the
