Whilst reading the essay labeled Shitty First Drafts by Anne Lamott, she presented the idea that in order for a writer to become successful they must indeed create a rough draft that is sub-par in quality. In her essay, she states one must engage in a childlike process such as creating a character called Mr. Poopy Pants, in order to maximize the potential of a final product.

I do agree with Anne Lamott that one must create a shitty draft in order to maximize the effectiveness of a final product of writing. If one simply did not create a draft because he/she felt the draft would be embarrassing, then how would any creative writing become accomplish.
