The Patriot Act as legislation written by congress proceeding the attacks on 9/11 which was signed into law by George Bush in October 23, 2001. Reviewing the titles of the bill, Title I, bolsters the domestic security against terrorism. Specifically, this section of the Patriot Act allows investigators the use of tools that have already been available to investigate organized crime and drug trafficking.
