Animal testing should be banned in the U.S. and all over the world. Everyday somewhere all over the world a innocent animal is abducted, abused, or abandoned. Animals are abducted from people's yards and taken to be sold to laboratories for experimenting. In these laboratories the animals are abused and neglected. Everyday somewhere in the world people capture abandoned animals on the streets that are just trying to survive to sell to laboratories. These helpless animals do not deserve to be treated poorly for the benefit of humans. Animals have feelings and feel emotions just like us humans. There are many reasons why animal testing should be banned in the U.S. and worldwide. One reason in particular is that animal testing is wasteful. Every year in the U.S. the U.S. drug industry invests $50 billion in research, but sadly the approval rate of new drugs is the same as it was 50 years ago" (Arguments Against Animal Testing). The reason is that animals are different from humans in many aspects. For example the most commonly used monkeys to test drugs are resistant to doses of paracetamol which in many cases is deadly to humans (Proconorg Headlines). In this case it is not sensible to use animals or anything for that matter that are resistant to drugs that could hurt humans. Another reason to support the stopping of animal testing is an analysis. In an analysis of over 100 mouse cell types only 50% of the DNA responsible for regulating genes in mice was matched with human DNA (Proconorg Headlines). Using a animal with only 50% of a match is not ideal. In conclusion using anything that isn't a 100% match of DNA or anything else should not be used to test drugs or products for
