Cheerleading should be considered a sport. They do just as much work, if not more, than all other sports. Cheerleaders have long hard practices everyday day, and most Sundays. They aren't only drilling technique, but they also drilling skills. Similar to what a football or volleyball team would do. It is not only physically demanding, but also more dangerous than other sports.

The Olympic games are now acknowledging cheerleading as a sport. People opposed to this idea feel that it should not be a sport. Their beliefs are cheerleaders do not do hard enough stuff to be considered a sport. Contrary to what they may believe cheerleading is a very dangerous sport. It doesn’t come just because they say you’re a sport.” It will be a huge accomplishment if cheerleaders get to be called a sport and everyone recognizes cheerleaders as sport, but that does not mean they will respect the individual who are in the sport. In a year or so cheerleading might be considered a sport, but that does not mean everyone will accept it. It will take years after that for everyone to respect cheerleading as a sport.

Therefore, Cheerleading should be considered, and respected as a sport. It is not only physically demanding, but also more dangerous than other sports. They have many skills they must learn and execute, similar to another sport. In conclusion, cheerleaders and other sports both work hard to show off their skills to impress other people. Cheerleaders, like other athletes, work hard to show off their skills, and learn life lessons on the way. Just become some people see one sport more as more physically demanding and skill demanding, does not mean the other one is less of a
