Anti-hero or hero? Thiers anti- heroes, heroes or just pure villains. there's three greasers who live in tulsa oklahoma, Without knowing they were heroes. Their hero names are dally, ponyboy and johnny. Unexpectedly becoming heroes without wanting too, yet they face many problems and that's what a hero is about, being brave at the tough times and unusual times and this is why i'm going to tell you why they should be considered heroes. First dally, you could say he was a anti-hero but he didn't do bad stuff enough nor good stuff. He had an heater that wasn't loaded why, because he didn't want to harm anyone but just scare them to stay safe. Another reason why Dally should be considered a hero is because in the story when johnny kills bob, johnny and ponyboy run away and they turned to Dally in which Dally then decides to help them. The main reason why dally should be considered a hero is because he helped when there was a fire on the old church. At first dally didn't want to help the children get out and would prefer to stay away and safe from it but since johnny was in there helping he then decides to help. He could come home whenever he wanted or not come at all, that's how much they didn't care. One reason why he should be considered a hero is because he saved ponyboy's life, in the story ponyboy is getting drown in a fountain and at that moment johnny stabs bob saving ponyboy from drowning. Another reason is johnny was brave enough to go inside the church on fire and save children stuck in there, knowing it was dangerous he'd risk his life for others.
