Voltaire once said, “It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murders are punished.” If someone murders another person for any reason at all they should be disciplined. George should get punished for shooting Lennie because although, he had pure intentions, killing is never innocent. George deserves punishment because he promised Lennie’s Aunt Clara, he’d take care of Lennie then he broke that promise, George is always mean so not only is he a murderer, but rude as well, and George and Lennie could have ran away like they did in Weed instead of Lenie getting killed but George didn’t think it through so in return, he deserves punishment.
