Prejudice, it is defined as: “An unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason.” But, the citizens in the United States believe that the children of illegal immigrants should not receive an education just because of the fact that their parents travelled undocumented. However, that reason alone should not be a valid excuse to hate these people. Public schools are supposed to be open to everyone, so how is one able to tell a child they can not attend school? The school board should also make sure the child gets the education that they need to thrive. Children of illegal immigrants should be allowed to attend public schools because it isn’t their fault if they’re here undocumented, everyone has the right to attend public school, and it would cut down future problems.

However, by educating immigrant children it would cut down on future problems for them. Imagine how scared they must feel after moving here, by letting these kids go to school it will keep them off of the streets and out of jail. Eventually, these kids could succeed in life for themselves and their future families. Some of the immigrants that do come over help Americans with jobs that we are just too lazy, or do not want to do. If they receive an education just realize how much they could contribute to our country.
