Should Kids Be Allowed To Play Football?

According to ESPN, enrollment in the largest youth football league in the U.S, dropped 9.5 % from 2010 to 2012 because of concussions which is considered too risky. No sport has more concussions than football. Brain injury became a major concern since 1997 and 2007. My reason for writing this paragraph is because of “Head injury, a risk that children can get from playing football. Between 2001 and 2009 football sent 25,376 students under the age of 19 to the emergency room for brain( head) injury each year”(Khan). Kids should not be allowed to play football because it can cause school/work and permanent damage.
Injuries is a main risk that can happen will you are playing football. Football players of all ages have suffered permanent brain damage from repeated concussions. “ The soft, spongy brain sloshes forcefully against the inside of the skull” (Shotz). That is something similar that happens with a concussion: someone tackles you with a hard jump it makes you fall to the ground. When players make football there first priority they might have a low grade in their grades. Which means that if they don’t make it to NFL it will be harder to get a job because they have no skills. Pretend, your in your school your practicing your football. The school bell rings then it hits you, you forgot that you have a quiz for English. The quiz is 50% of your grade, you haven't studied at all. Some days later you get your quiz back when you see, you got a D. That’s when you realize when you were out practicing your football you could have been studying for you English test and gotten a better grade.“ Few college players even make it to NFL.
