Should public sectors be allowed to strike ? Let’s first remember that striking is used when an employer and other employees can not come to an agreement. According to source number one, when employees strike they refuse to work until their demands are met by their employer. Public sectors are basically public service employees and federal government jobs like teachers , firefighters , and etc. So I believe public sectors should not be allowed to strike.

I believe public sectors shouldn’t be allowed to is because their main goal is to help and serve the public. Imagine if major public service employees like the police department went on a strike. Their job is to enforce the law and keeps criminals under control. Police went on strike once in Boston during 1919. It resulted with criminals going on a rampage since no one like the police was there to stop them. A terrible outcome came from a federal government employee strike. The same thing can happen with other jobs. If teachers go on strike they are hurting the students since they are the ones who are there to learn from their teachers. If a firefighter department goes on strike they hurt the general public. What happens if there is a fire and the firefighters are not on duty since they are on strike. Since they are public service employees , when they go on strike it is not only affecting their employers but also the public.I A strike should only involve the employees and their employer.
