Should students be allowed to dropout of school before they turn 18? I don't think you should be allowed to dropout of high school before you turn 18, you wouldn't have a high school diploma if you later wanted to get a job or go to college. It's a hard decision to make when it comes to this subject. I wouldn't dropout of high school before you turn 18 because when you turn 18 your officially an adult and you can make your own decisions but, what if you chose to drop out when your in 10th grade and you later realized that you want to go to college. You would have to go take all you high school classes that you never got to take which would set you back further in life. You would have better career opportunities, more social experience, and you could even get scholarships to a college you dreamed about going to. …show more content…
If you dropped out of high school before thinking about the opportunities you would be risking you made a huge mistake. You could be missing out on school events like basketball, volleyball, football, baseball and etc. You could get a scholarship to good college where you can get a good job and make good money and be happy with what you achieved in your life. When you have kids and they want to drop out of school because you did you cant stop them from making a mistake because you made the same one. I would want my child to live up to their full potential and they wouldn't be doing that if they just stopped trying in
