Stop for a moment and think of how privileged you are to be alive. Marcus Aurelius, the last of the Five Good Roman Emperors in the second century, once said, “When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive, to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.” Life is so very precious and it needs to be protected. Countless innocent lose their lives in school shootings. Many of those lives could have been saved if people had another option to defend themselves. Arming teachers for the protection of themselves and their students could be the solution to this problem.
One reason harming teachers makes for a safer classroom is because teachers are always there before the officials. “We are the first line of defense. Someone is going to call the police and they are going to be informed but how long is it going to take them

This means any non-law abiding citizens will not be issued a permit. Nobody is just handed one. Thorough background checks are done and there is a certain amount of training completed during the course.
