Ancient Egypt had a great influence on later cultures. Egypt helped influence all of western traditions. Egyptian art and concepts are found in today's architecture. There was an organized government in Ancient Egypt which depended on the pharaohs and agriculture. Agriculture was the basis of the economy. The pharaoh was the highest official and he appointed the other officials. The order of officials was pharaoh, the vizier, chief treasurer, general, overseer, and scribes. There are many similarities between Ancient Egypt and Modern American Culture. One obvious similarity is that both were based on agriculture. These are some of the jobs that the Ancient Egyptians performed: scribes, teachers, servants, engineers, architects, builders, soldiers, entertainers, manual labors, and slave labors. All these jobs made Ancient Egypt a great society.The jobs from Ancient Egypt and Modern American Culture are the same as far as skill. There were many social classes in the Ancient Egyptian time. There was a higher class, then a middle class, and then the lower class. The pharaoh was the leader. The priests and nobles enjoyed a great status and also grew wealthy from donations to the gods. Skilled workers, doctors and craftsman mad up the middle class. The lower class was made up of famers, slaves, and servants. In Modern American Culture there is still a higher class which is the president/government, middle class which is people that can have food on the table, and lower class which is the poor that can't feed their families.
