“White Angel”
In “White Angel” by Michael Cunningham, the author describes two brothers who experience the many wonders of the transition from kids to teens together. The two protagonists, Carlton (sixteen) and Frisco (nine), are shown experiencing the trials of the newly introduced “freedom” era; With many recently developed drugs and liberal ideals, the so called “hippie” era was the year were it was normal for everyone, no matter the age, to be doing drugs or alcohol, therefore, Carlton, with just having turned sixteen, is taking advantage of all the new opportunities that have risen, but not without his brother, Frisco.
