“The Birds” written by Daphne du Maurier in 1952, and Alfred Hitchcock’s film produced in 1963 were very intriguing. Both the story and the film had the same conflict, but the story had a different character lead. Even though du Maurier’s story and Hitchcock's film had the same theme the elements of the story were eminently different.
Throughout the the story and the film there were a limited amount of similarities portrayed, but they were immensely important. One of the biggest similarities is the main theme and conflict. Hitchcock and du Maurier both did a stupendous job at showing intensity and horror throughout the bird attacks.
