The passages, “Life in Colonial America” and “Pharaoh of Egypt, Queen Hatshepsut” all talk about events in history. Both of the stories also talk about time periods over hundreds of years ago. These passages are alike and different in many ways. One way that they are alike is that they talk about some accomplishments and things that have been done by the people in both texts. Another reason is that it talks about survival and how this person or these people have survived a long time from now known in history. Also, the passages talk about what the person or group of people did during the time period which is called survival. The passages have more differences than similarities.
