Ambition for power has dramatically transformed characters all the way back from the 1600s to present day. “Macbeth” is a popular play that denotes damaging physical and Physiological effects dealing in political ambition for their own benefit. “Mean girls” in the same sense, is a movie based on a new school girl that wants power and popularity; but ruins friendships along the way. The main characters in both films are very similar; Macbeth is a nobleman from Scotland who is honest, brave, well respected and liked with a great reputation, whereas Cady, being a home-schooled girl from Africa, is smart, innocent, naturally pretty, independent and is her own person. At the beginning, Lady Macbeth held all the power and showed a huge amount of ambition while Macbeth became strong and more ambitious as he was coerced into fulfilling her plan. As for Cady, like the dagger that was given to Macbeth from Lady Macbeth as a final strike to become king, was also given ammunition by Janis and Damian to mess with Regina, Gretchen and Karen.
