Murder by Monster Monster by Walter Dean Myers and Murder on a Sunday Morning are two very similar stories. Both the book and film are excellent ways to show the racism that went on against African Americans, and what it was like to live in this time period as a colored person. Monster and Murder on a Sunday Morning have many similarities but every here and there you will find a difference with how they view themselves. Steve Harmon and Brenton Butler are both 15 year old boys whom are being convicted of murder and armed robbery.
