Nighttime is when the sun sets and darkness comes to us instead of light. Night captures both physical darkness and the darkness of the soul. Darkness is when there is a total absence of light in which it means fear for some of us. On the other hand, Night can also mean the hours we sleep. Night the book by Elie Wiesel can be interpreted as both. The novel Night is about a boy named Eli and his father lived through World War 2 as Jews however encounter horrific events. For example, Elie arrived to the first camp at night and he knew he was probably not coming out alive “Never shall I forget that night the first night in camp, which has turned my life into one long night.” Consequently, he says this when he was about to enter Auschwitz
