Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration are two roles that play in everyday life. Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration are alike, but also different. They’re alike because both processes obtain the needed substances as well as producing them. Both Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration create very similar substances. For example, water, glucose, oxygen and carbon dioxide. However, both processes do it in distinct ways. Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration are also necessary for all living things to survive. Photosynthesis is the process in which plants produce their own food by turning the light energy into the chemical energy that’s needed. Photosynthesis and Cellular respiration are identical because, both processes are needed/required in everyday life. Without Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration, everything would start to die. Cellular respiration is the most important process in everyday life because, it helps release energy in a more efficient way than Photosynthesis. It releases the energy in a more efficient way because, in Photosynthesis, the cells can block the chemical bond between the second and third phosphate groups to get the energy that is needed. But, Cellular Respiration releases the energy from the food that has been eaten, and releases the energy in the form of oxygen.
