Simon Bolivar was a great leader who led Venezuela to their independence. Simon had a lot of good ideas of how to govern people but they were not perfect. Bolivar’s main goal when gaining independence was to “Destroy the Spaniards, to protect the Americans, and to establish the republican governments of Venezuela”. Bolivar was such a big deal to venezuela independence he has a statues of him located all around the word such as in France and Colombia. Bolivar also has a currency named after him that is still in use today called the “Bolivar”. The painting called “El Libertador” which means “The Liberator” is a famous painting of Bolivar riding a horse on top of some mountains. The main part of the painting is Bolivar riding most likely symbolizing his manliness. The mountains represent the terrain in Venezuela. The overall message of this painting is that Simon Bolivar is leading the charge to regain independence. The mountains represent the terrain that the independence was regained on. Simon Bolivar went to Venezuela to liberate it and become an independent country. All the other people living there like spaniards and other loyal americans were able to live among them peacefully.
Simon Bolivar political goal was for everyone to be equal no matter what color.

Bolivar was such a great leader at the that is why the official name of the country is named after him and some of the currency is as well. The main statue of Simon Bolivar is located in Paris France. There is also statues in capital cities of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Panama, and Argentina. He also has statues dedicated to him in major cities in France, Germany, Italy, Canada, and the United States of America. The only reason that there are statues of him all over the world is because he was such a good leader at the
