Why was Simon Wiesenthal so bent on getting revenge on the Nazis, how did his life change after the camps, and what happened afterward? Many people had been captured by Hitler and taken away from friends and family and upon those countless people taken away was Simon Wiesenthal. Simon had a tragic past in the camps, regained his life to bring justice, and lived a full life.

Simon’s traumatic past, caused by the Nazis, provoked him enough to need revenge on them. Provided that Simon and his wife were camp survivors, Simon’s relatives weren’t nearly as lucky as much as eighty perished in the camps. Before Simon was placed in the camp, Simon was living a normal life, going to college, marrying his high school girlfriend, and even setting up an architectural engineering practice afterward. As soon as the Nazis captured Simon, everything changed. Though Simon had tried many times to escape and even suicide a few times, but Simon had always gotten caught. During the time in camp, Simon had been separated from his wife, yet when he was released in 1945 the two found each other and reunited. Because of all of what happened, Simon then dedicated his life to bringing justice to the Nazis.
